This recipe for Quick and Easy Homemade Fig Jam is simple and delicious. If you have fresh figs, you need to make this. Fig Jam is amazing with cheese, on toast, in a dessert like Coconut Fig Crumbles Bars, and more!
Ingredients
¾ cup water
¾ cup sugar
Juice of 1 small lemon, about ½ cup
2 cups fresh figs, cut in half

Directions
1. Place water and sugar in a pan and cook on medium heat until sugar is dissolved.
2. Add figs and lemon juice and bring to a boil.

3. Turn down heat and simmer for about an hour with a lid mostly on. Take the time to stir and mash the mixture every once in a while. The figs will start to break down and the peels will essentially disappear!

4. After an hour, remove from heat and allow to cool. Mash up any remaining chunks of fig.
5. Place in a sealable glass jar and place into fridge for up to 2 weeks.
