20 Apps and Websites to Make Money, Save Money and Get Free Stuff

You already shop, online and in stores, so why not get paid for it?? Here is a list of some of the apps and websites I use all the time to get cash, gift cards, deals and free stuff! Make money at home on your smartphone or computer.

MONEY SAVING/CASH BACK/GIFT CARD APPS

1. Ibotta Click HERE to join and earn a $20 bonus when you redeem your first offer. I wrote an entire post about Ibotta because I like it that much. Once you download the app, you find deals you want to take advantage of. After you make your purchase at a store like Safeway, Fred Meyer, Target, etc., you upload your receipt and get your points. You can also shop online through the app and earn money that way. You can get cash through Paypal, Venmo or get a gift card once you get to $20 or more.

2. FetchRewards Click HERE to sign up. This app is one of the easiest to use. Once you download it you simply scan your receipt and the app does the rest! There are opportunities to earn bonus points for certain products and scanning more receipts. Redeem for gift cards at places like Sephora, BestBuy, Athleta, PetCo, popular restaurants, etc.

3. Shopkick Click HERE to join or use code WIN061666 Once you download the app, you can earn "kicks" just for walking in the doors to your favorite stores. You can also earn by scanning or purchasing specific products once in a store or for online shopping. Redeem your kicks for gift cards at places like Sephora, Target, Starbucks and more.

4. Drop Click HERE to sign up. This app connects to a debit or credit card and you earn points for gift cards when you shop using that card. It's very easy but not everyone wants to connect a card.

5. SavingsStar Another app I just started using. This is a perfect if you grocery shop and buy a lot of name brands. You simply activate the reward, scan the barcode and receipt and you get your rebate. Once you get to $20 you can cash out to your bank account, Paypal, Starbucks, iTunes or AMC theaters gift cards.

6. GEOQPONS This app isn't the most modern or exciting to look at, BUT it comes in handy if you don't want to sign up for all the clubs and coupon lists. I often use this app for coupons or codes when I'm out shopping at places like Michaels, Bath and Body Works and Gap. They usually have the most current coupons and online codes and you can scan right from your phone.

DEAL/COUPON SITES/APPS

7. HIP2SAVE I signed up for their daily emails as well as their Hip2Save Insiders group. I always find something in almost every email either for a great online deal, free stuff, reward points, recipes, the list goes on. My close friends and family members have received an email or text from me sharing these deals so I thought I would share with everyone!

8. BRAD'S DEALS Similar to Hip2Save, I receive a daily email from Brad's Deals and have taken advantage of quite a few offers. You can also specify what kind of deals you want to know about. Although there are some duplicates between deal sites, I always find great leads from these emails and they are quick to scan through.

9. LIKE-A-COUPON I've been following these email updates since Like-a-Coupon started. They share deals and coupons and have some exclusive deals. Another quick and easy site or email to scan through.

10. JILL'S STEALS AND DEALS Sometimes there are crazy deals offered on this site. Yes, they are on TV, but I just wait for the email update. You can also sign up for daily Facebook deals. You never know what will come up. It's great for gifts ideas or something nice for yourself.

11. RETAILMENOT Another site that has evolved over time and always comes in handy when shopping online. They usually have the most up to date codes for discounts or free shipping.

12. SLICK DEALS I don't use this site as much but every once in a while they have a deal I haven't heard about yet. There are more categories to browse through including credit card deals, tech and entertainment.

13. Zulily I'm adding this one to the list because I swear whenever I'm thinking about getting something, there is a sale for it on Zulily. Cooking utensil? It's on there. Kids clothes? On there. Fireplace tools? Yup, that too. Anyway, I actually try not to click on their emails because I ALWAYS find something I swear I need. Another great site for gift giving or deal searching.

SURVEY SITES FOR GIFT CARDS/PAYPAL PAYOUT

14. Swagbucks There are tons of ways to earn on Swagbucks. You can take surveys, surf the web, watch videos and shop online. You can redeem your points for cash on Paypal, get a gift card or donate to charity. Click HERE to join. You can also download the SwagButton to your computer for even more ways to earn!

15. Global Test Market Take surveys and earn points you can redeem for cash through Paypal, gift cards or donate to charity. You can get $5 for as little as 600 points.

16. PINCHme Who doesn't want FREE stuff?? You can earn free samples, magazines, partner offers and more when you sign up. Take surveys to earn even more points, click HERE to sign up.

17. Opinion Outpost Another survey site that gives you points to redeem for Paypal cash, gift cards and more. You also get entered into a $10,000 monthly drawing just for participating.

18. Opinion Terminal The thing that makes this site different is that the points you earn go right into your Alaska Airlines miles account. It's free to participate and to get a mileage account if you don't already have one.

19. Survey Junkie This site is REALLY popular and definitely worth checking out. You can redeem your points for Paypal cash or gift cards.

20. e-Rewards You have to be invited for this one, but if you can get in, there are tons of surveys and more redemption options like magazines, rental cars and hotel points. I joined e-rewards a long time ago but still continue to take surveys and take advantage of magazine subscriptions and Starbucks gift cards!

One last idea before you go. If you don't have a rewards credit card, or you have one and don't use it, GET ONE AND START USING IT! I use my rewards credit card for almost all of my purchases and bills. I rack up points but still payoff my balance every month so I don't have any extra fees or interest. Like the sites above, I can redeem my points for cash, gift cards, airline tickets, hotels, or I can just apply the points to my balance. This is a no brainer if you are organized and on top of your payments. I just set mine to auto pay and watch my points accumulate. Easy money!
